A New Collection of Poems That Honors the Legacy of Ali Ibrahim Shuayb

The sons of the late Al-Zajali poet Ali Ibrahim Shu’ayb have published a new collection of poetry in his memory, titled Ikhraj Qaid. The publication truly represents a New Collection of Poems that honours his legacy.

He was born in 1951 and died in 1995.

The 152-page, medium-sized volume contains seventy poems recited on various national, social, cultural, and political occasions, each with a different title. This volume clearly stands out as A New Collection of Poems created to honour his impact.

The late poet’s first poetry collection,

titled “A Tear and a Candle,” was published in the year 2020 (300 pages), and now with A New Collection of Poems the range of his published works expands.

The late poet Ali Ibrahim Shu’ayb was born in the village of Al-Sharqiyya in the Nabatieh District (South).

He began writing poetry at an early age and founded and chaired the Al-Amal Choir in 1971.

was a member of the Political Council of the National Movement in Nabatieh.

He organized dozens of poetry recitals and zajal competitions in Lebanon, Syria, and some countries abroad.
