Academic partnership to boost knowledge and protect creativity

As part of efforts to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation, an academic cooperation agreement was signed between the Middle East American University (MEU), represented by University President Professor Carlos Piaggi and Vice President for Student Affairs Professor Farid Khoury,

in addition to ACT Int, the advanced consultancy for training and international business, represented by its founding Director General Professor Michael Karsifi and educational consultant Mrs. Micheline Barmana,

and the International Center for Intellectual Property (FIKR), represented by its president, lawyer Shadi Khalil Abou Issa.

The agreement aims to activate research activities in areas related to promoting the concepts of justice and human rights, as well as skills development.

The meeting also addressed the importance of supporting and developing English language instruction through the organization of specialized programs and courses.

These programs are intended to help develop linguistic and academic skills in line with the requirements of the job market and modern educational developments.

Participants also discussed ways to spread a culture of intellectual property rights and raise awareness of the importance of protecting creativity and innovation,

as well as ways to entrench the principles of respect for intellectual rights within academic, cultural and community circles.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants affirmed the importance of continued communication and coordination between the Middle East American University, ACT Int Academy, and the International Center for Intellectual Property (FIKR).

They agreed to consolidate their close cooperation and develop effective understandings in various scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian fields,

in a way that achieves shared goals and contributes to serving the community and advancing knowledge and innovation.

The meeting also addressed ways to develop cooperation and coordination and exchange information and expertise in educational fields, in order to help raise the level of education and strengthen academic and training programs.
