Portugal snatched a valuable away win over Norway, 2-1, on Sunday evening in the second round of the group stage of the 2026-2027 UEFA Nations League.
With the result, the defending champions continued their strong start, raising their tally to 6 points from two matches.
Portugal entered the match looking to build on their opening-round win over Wales.
Joao Felix opened the scoring in the 17th minute, giving the visitors an advantage they held onto until halftime.
At the start of the second half, the hosts came back into the game, as Erling Haaland equalized for Norway six minutes in.
That brought the match back to square one, but Portugal’s response came quickly, with Goncalo Ramos scoring the winning goal in the 54th minute.
The visitors held onto their lead until the final whistle, coming away from the tough match with three points that strengthened their position at the top of Group 4 in League A.
Denmark and Norway each have 3 points, while Wales remain pointless after two rounds.
Portugal will next face an away match against Denmark on October 1.
