Al Riyadi Beirut, Lebanon’s champion, retained its title as champion of the “Final 8” round of the West Asia Super League basketball “Wasl” championship.
The team once again defeated its traditional rival Al Hikma Beirut by an eight-point margin, 75-67 (quarter scores: 26-14, 40-34, 55-45, 75-67).
The notable match between the two teams was held at the Nehad Nawfal Complex in Zouk Mikael.
American player Zach Lofton was Al Riyadi’s top scorer with 23 points, and he was named the match’s best player.
American Nicholas Simon and Hayk Gyokchyan each added 13 points for Al Riyadi, while Al Hikma’s Karim Ezzeddine scored 17 points.
