Lebanese Medical Students Honored in France
The Lebanese European Medical Association held a ceremony to honor Lebanese medical students who successfully completed their studies in France.
Minister of Social Affairs Haneen El-Sayed attended the event. Lebanese Ambassador to France Rabih El Shaer also participated, alongside doctors and members of the Lebanese community.
A Growing Medical Network
Association President Dr. Elie Haddad said the organization has held this annual celebration for three consecutive years. However, this year marked the first time the Lebanese Embassy hosted the event.
Founded in 2020, the association now includes more than 1,400 members across 12 European countries.
Supporting Lebanese Medical Talent
Haddad stressed the importance of supporting Lebanese medical professionals and strengthening communication among healthcare specialists in Europe.
Moreover, he highlighted the association’s role in guiding students throughout their academic and professional journeys.
Stronger Ties With the Diaspora
Ambassador Rabih El Shaer called for stronger cooperation with Lebanese professionals living abroad.
He said the achievements of Lebanese students deserve recognition and continued support. He also encouraged young doctors to dedicate part of their time and expertise to Lebanon and its healthcare institutions.
A Source of Hope for Lebanon
Minister Haneen El-Sayed said Lebanon is passing through a difficult period. Nevertheless, it can recover through the determination of Lebanese people at home and abroad.
She praised the students’ success in France. She also described their achievements as a source of hope and encouragement for Lebanon.
Honoring the Graduates
At the end of the ceremony, the association honored the graduating students in an atmosphere of pride and celebration.
The association also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Lebanese doctors and medical students. In addition, it pledged to strengthen ties between Lebanese professionals abroad and their homeland.
