The Lebanese University Achieves a Global Scientific Achievemen: A Study Opens New Horizons

The prestigious scientific journal PLOS ONE has published an original scientific research carried out by the Laboratory of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences at the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University.

“This research represents the result of twenty-six years of clinical and research work,” the Lebanese university said in a statement.

He continued: “His idea started from a clinical observation that aimed to develop a new therapeutic approach.

The approach aimed to stimulate neurological recovery in patients with chronic spinal cord injuries.

It gradually became a methodology that was developed and scientifically tested. Moreover, today it has reached the stage of proof through a randomized, refereed clinical trial.

This experiment was published in one of the most prominent international scientific journals.

The results of the study showed that the combination of direct electrical stimulation of the brain, with the neuromotor excitation methodology, is very important.

It may contribute to the restoration of motor function in people with chronic lower paraplegia.

This opens up new horizons in the field of neurological rehabilitation, which is based on scientific evidence.

This achievement underscored the commitment of the Lebanese University and the MOHAR Laboratory to support solid scientific research. Moreover, it helped translate clinical expertise into innovative therapeutic solutions.

It contributes to the development of rehabilitation sciences and patient service. Furthermore, it enhances the university’s presence in international scientific publishing platforms.
