This is causing temperatures to rise, exceeding seasonal averages.
Temperatures will peak on Sunday, reaching 40 degrees in inland areas, with high humidity along the coast, which will make it feel even hotter, until next Tuesday.
The heat will then gradually subside, and the weather will return to normal summer conditions on Wednesday.
Average temperatures for August: Tripoli between 24 and 32 degrees.
Beirut: between 25 and 33 degrees; Zahle: between 18 and 35 degrees.
