Ahmed Matar, a student at the Faculty of Engineering—Branch III of the Lebanese University, achieved a remarkable international accomplishment at the Microsoft Championship.
He placed fourth globally in the Microsoft Excel 365 Applications category at the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship.
Matar qualified for the global competition following a successful journey that began with his passing of the qualifying exam.
He then went on to place first in Lebanon at the national championship,
This earned him the opportunity to represent Lebanon and the Lebanese University in the world championship.
The competition was held in California, USA, from July 26 to 29, 2026,
Competitors from various countries around the world participated.
The championship aims to test proficiency and advanced skills in using Microsoft Office applications through a series of practical challenges.
Ahmad Matar secured fourth place globally in the Microsoft Excel 365 category.
