Ashrafieh is preparing to host the second edition of the “Ashrafieh: The Start… Lebanon: The Finish” race.
Following the success of its first edition in 2023.
Engineer Al-Fard Madi confirmed that the race, organized by the “The Right Path” initiative under a slogan that combines sports and a sense of belonging, is returning, emphasizing that starting from Ashrafieh carries a message that extends beyond the district’s borders to all of Lebanon.
The event will feature two races covering distances of 10,452 meters and 2,000 meters.
According to the schedule provided in the announcement, the first race starts at 7:30 a.m. from Sassine Square, while the second race begins at 9:00 a.m.
The route of the longer race passes through several streets in Ashrafieh before returning to Sassine Square.
The “Right Path” initiative states that its goals include encouraging people to walk and be active to improve their lifestyles, and fostering a culture of accountability and community participation.
It also calls for the protection of natural resources, the expansion of renewable energy use, and raising awareness of environmental risks and climate change.
The initiative also prioritizes human safety and the fight against drugs.
Through the race, it seeks to bring participants together around a sporting event that carries a social message and encourages a focus on health, the environment, and shared responsibility.
