The head of the Lebanese Economic Organizations, former Minister Mohammad Shukair, announced that a major UAE economic delegation will visit Lebanon in the coming days.
UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi will lead the delegation. The visit will take place on August 26 and 27.
The delegation will include 67 leading business figures, investors, and economic executives from the UAE.
Shukair said the visit carries strong and positive economic significance for Lebanon. Moreover, he described it as an important step in strengthening Lebanese-Emirati economic relations.
In particular, the visit reflects the UAE’s interest in expanding cooperation with Lebanon. It also highlights its support for Lebanon as the country works toward economic recovery and growth.
Shukair said, “We are very optimistic about this visit, which we consider a crucial step toward revitalizing economic relations between Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.”
Furthermore, he noted that the visit comes within the framework of agreements reached during the summit between Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun and the President of the United Arab Emirates.
Shukair also thanked the UAE, its president, and its leadership for the decisions and measures taken in support of Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese private sector is preparing to welcome the Emirati economic delegation.
According to Shukair, the private sector hopes to build on this visit and create new opportunities for cooperation.
Finally, he stressed the importance of developing a stronger economic partnership between Lebanon and the UAE. Such cooperation, he said, can serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
