Dr. Rima Younis, President of the Lebanese Association for Educational and Cultural Renewal, organized a ceremony to honor Mohamed Gharib, the director of Radio Lebanon, Mohamed Gharib.
The celebration came in recognition of his long media career and his national and cultural giving.
The ceremony was held in Dr. Younis’s office in the presence of media, academic, and cultural figures.
The importance of Gharib’s role in supporting the media
In her speeches, she stressed the importance of the role played by Gharib in supporting the national media and consolidating the culture of dialogue.
In addition, Younes praised Gharib’s decades-long career, considering his honor a tribute to Radio Lebanon and its unifying national message.
She also stressed his professional and humanitarian commitment and his ability to make the media a space for communication and convergence.
Committed Media Model
Kamil Abdullah, editor-in-chief of “Cam News”, confirmed that Mohammed Gharib represents a model of a media person committed to the country’s issues.
Therefore, the journalist Iman Abdel Malik believes that his role contributed to enhancing understanding and dialogue between the various components of society.
Several personalities also spoke during the event, including Rita Njeim, Sheikh Hassan Hammadi Al-Ameli, Dr. Rima Sharafeddine, and others
Speakers were unanimous that Gharib was a model for responsible media.
Honorary shield
At the end of the ceremony, he presented Mohamed Gharib with an honorary shield as a token of loyalty and appreciation for his media career.
Gharib expressed his gratitude for this honor, stressing that it does not belong to him alone, but also honors the march of Radio Lebanon and all its employees.
He also stressed that the real media remains a message aimed at spreading the truth, promoting culture, dialogue and serving the country.
Finally, the event concluded with a cocktail party and commemorative photo shoots in an atmosphere of appreciation and loyalty to a distinguished media career.
