The Lebanese delegation continued its participation in the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya.
The event was attended by Lebanese Olympic Committee President Boutros Jalakh and delegation head Khader Maklad.
The competitions saw Aziza Spiti qualify for the semifinals of the 100-meter dash, and Lynn Al-Hajj qualify for the finals of the 200-meter breaststroke.
In track and field, Sbeiti finished fifth in her heat with a time of 11.89 seconds,
and will compete in the semifinals on Friday, September 25.
As for Nour al-Din Hadid, he clocked 10.74 seconds in the 100-meter dash and finished sixth in his heat; he is preparing to compete in the 200-meter dash on Saturday.
In swimming, Lynn Al-Hajj finished seventh out of ten competitors in the 200-meter breaststroke final.
In fencing, Anthony Choueri secured three victories in foil before his run ended in the round of 32.
His coach, Antoine Anisi, praised his performance against strong opponents.
In table tennis, Bisan Shiri and Talia Azar lost their women’s doubles match to the Thai pair in three straight sets.
Youssef Al-Mays also continued competing in the 2,000-meter rowing event, improving his time on the second day amid competition that Lebanese Rowing Federation President Hassan Rustam described as high-level.
