The Principal of the International Orthodox College Our Lady of the Earthquake, Father George Al-Maalouf, confirmed that the IOC School in Zahle is steadily continuing its steps. It is moving towards completing its educational project.
He pointed out that the launch of the IOC School in Zahle came with the blessing and support of His Excellency Bishop Antonius Al-Souri. Additionally, it came with the intercession of Our Lady of Zahle.
Al-Maalouf explained that the school has so far completed four floors to receive students, while work continues on the basement.
It will include additional educational halls, modern laboratories, and basic equipment. This equipment keeps pace with the development in the educational sector and provides an integrated learning environment.
George Nehme’s Concert to Support the Completion of the Preparations
He pointed out that the concert that the artist George Nehme will perform in the municipal park on Friday, July 3, is an important station. It will support the school.
He continued: “The proceeds will be allocated to complete the equipment of laboratories, halls and offices, and to secure various supplies that help provide modern and advanced education.”
He stressed that this initiative reflects the spirit of cooperation between the local community and educational institutions. In a way, it contributes to the development of the school.
