The “Bahmadoun Station 2026” festivals kicked off on Thursday evening at the historic train station square,
amid an official, political, social, and public turnout, in a move that marks the return of summer festivals to the region
and their role in revitalizing tourism, the economy, and culture in the Aley District.
The opening caramony was attended by Mount Lebanon Governor Mohammad Makawi
MP Mark Daou – MP Nazih Matta -MP Cesar Abi Khalil
the mayor of Bhamdoun Station, Shadi Matta along with mayors and village heads
political – social – economic – cultural figures – local Arab tourists
and visitors who gathered to participate in the launch of the festivals.
The organization of the 2026 Bahmadoun Station Festivals
part of the efforts undertaken by the Municipality of Bahmadoun Station
to revitalize the summer tourist season and strengthen the town’s position as one of Lebanon’s leading mountain destinations,
thanks to its historical heritage, breathtaking natural beauty, and strategic location that attracts visitors from various regions.
The historic train station square, which holds special symbolic significance in the collective memory of Bahmadoun, served as the venue for the opening of the celebrations,
and underscored the importance of festivals as a platform that brings together culture, art, heritage, and local development

Artistic performances, cultural, recreational, and social activities will continue, helping to attract more visitors, revitalize
the town’s economy, support commercial and tourism businesses, and strengthen Bahmadoun’s presence on the Lebanese festival scene.
