with his new song “Ho Anta,” which he released on his official YouTube channel,

as part of his highly anticipated Iraqi album. The song has garnered widespread attention from the public, especially since it

revives an artistic partnership that previously produced works which left a lasting mark on Iraqi and Arab music.

A Story and Humanistic Messages

The song “Ho Anta” features lyrics by poet Aziz Al-Rassam, while Kazem Al-Saher composed the music, presenting it in the Iraqi dialect

and tells an emotional story filled with reproach, betrayal, and regret. The song begins with a direct confrontation with the beloved, as Al-Saher sings:

“It’s you who started my story… It’s you who filled my eyes with tears…,” before the events unfold

to embody feelings of loss, longing, and the attempt to reclaim a love lost over time.

The song’s lyrics also carry a universal message about the consequences of injustice and abandonment, emphasizing that those who hurt others

will ultimately pay the price for their actions, as reflected in the verse: “Those who wrong others will be wronged, those who deprive others will be deprived,

and those who show no mercy will themselves be shown no mercy,” lending the work a deeply moving emotional and humanitarian dimension.

This collaboration takes on special significance because it comes more than two decades after the last project that brought together Kazem Al-Saher and Aziz Al-Rassam,

namely the song “I Walked the Path of Pain,” which was released as part of the album “Barefoot” in 2003.

The new song brings back to the forefront the emotional Iraqi style associated with landmark moments in

“The Caesar’s” career, while also evoking a collaboration considered one of the highlights of his artistic journey.
