Special Olympics Lebanon organized a sports and health training day for young athletes (ages three to nine),
in collaboration with the “Doha Al-Maqasid” School, as part of the Healthy Communities Program.
Thirty male and female athletes without intellectual disabilities participated in the event.
The training included four sports stations: kicking, throwing, hitting, and jumping.
Each station was designed to develop the players’ individual skills in specific sports, in addition to a health-focused segment.
The players participated in race-style competitions, sorting fruits and vegetables into “healthy” and “unhealthy” categories.
The activity concluded with a team game and the distribution of healthy snacks to the players.
