Inter Turns the Tables on Udinese: Inter Milan secured a thrilling 5-3 victory over visiting Udinese.
The match took place on Monday as part of the fourth round of the Italian Serie A.
Udinese started the match strongly, with James Abankwa opening the scoring in the ninth minute.
Jürgen Ekkelenkamp then added the second goal in the 16th minute.
But Inter Milan quickly got back into the game after Carlos Augusto narrowed the gap in the 26th minute.
Nine minutes later, Nicolò Barella tied the score, and the first half ended amid great excitement.
In the second half, Marcus Thuram scored the go-ahead goal for Inter Milan in the 57th minute.
Francesco Pio Esposito added the fourth goal in the 67th minute.
Angie Yuan Boni then rounded out the team’s five-goal haul in the 79th minute.
Idrissa Gueye scored Udinese’s third goal in the 90th minute.
With this victory, the defending champions moved up to 12 points in second place, trailing Roma on goal difference, while Udinese remained on four points in 13th place.
