“From and To Ziad”: An Evening Celebrating the Rahbani Legacy at Haboub

The Sacred Hearts School Theater hosted a special cultural and artistic evening featuring the theatrical production “From and To Ziad.”

The production was presented by Dr. Colette Al-Khoury Youssef and attended by figures from the cultural, artistic, media, and educational communities.

The production was written and directed by Dr. Colette Al-Khoury Youssef.

It was not merely a musical performance, but an artistic vision that underscored the transmission of creativity and artistic legacy from one generation to the next.

It began with an exhibition of students’ artwork, followed by the performance of the Lebanese national anthem.

This marked the start of an artistic journey that evoked key moments from Ziad Rahbani’s legacy through musical and theatrical performances.

The highlights included: “I Sang in Your Name,” “Blessed Are Those Who Seek Peace,” “Mays al-Reem,” “How Many People Were There,” and “To the Roar of the Bus.”

The evening also featured the premiere of the song “Intelligence… Intelligence from God,” with lyrics and music by Dr. Colette Al-Khoury Youssef.

It was performed by the Academy’s students alongside the children of artist Majdi Al-Alawi

a message affirming the birth of new creativity

The ceremony concluded with a tribute to the “A’ Netfa” band in recognition of its artistic career.

Graduation certificates were then distributed to the Academy’s students for the current academic year

an evening that affirmed that authentic art remains alive when new generations carry it forward into the future.
