On the 36th anniversary of the passing of the intellectual Dr. Hassan Saab.
The Hassan Saab Foundation for Studies and Research, in collaboration with the administration of Dr. Saab Public Coeducational High School in Beirut, issued a joint statement commemorating his intellectual and patriotic legacy and his contributions to fostering a culture of reason and dialogue.
The statement affirmed that Hassan Saab was a model of the intellectual who believed that building Lebanon begins with human development and the advancement of institutions.
It called for the establishment of a modern state based on justice and development, free from violence, divisions, and sectarian intolerance.
It noted that the late scholar’s ideas continue to serve as an important reference for new generations.
Thanks to the dozens of books and lectures he left behind, which continue to promote the values of reform and openness.
The high school administration also emphasized its commitment to instilling these principles in its students, based on its belief that education is the foundation for building a better future.
The statement concluded with a tribute to the memory of Dr. Saab, while affirming the school’s commitment to continuing to spread his intellectual and developmental legacy in service of the nation and society.
