Lebanon’s Under-18 Women’s National Team Defeats the Cook Islands

The Lebanese women’s national basketball team (under-18) played its games in the Asian Championship (Division B) of the Asian Under-18 Basketball Championship.

The tournament is being held from July 13 to 19 in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

with a 54–51 victory over the Cook Islands, winning by a margin of 3 points in the game that took place Monday morning.

It was a close game, but the “Cedars” managed to secure the win at the start of their tournament run.

Eight countries are participating in the continental tournament, which will qualify the defending champion for Division A: Lebanon, Oman, Kazakhstan, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Samoa, and the Cook Islands.

The Lebanese national team qualified for this major continental tournament as the representative of the West Asia region.

Lebanon’s group includes Lebanon, the Cook Islands, Kazakhstan, and Samoa.

The following is the schedule of Lebanon’s first-round matches, in Beirut time:

– Tuesday, July 14, 7:00 a.m.: Lebanon vs. Samoa

– Wednesday, July 15, 9:30 a.m.: Lebanon vs. Kazakhstan.
