The Council of the Union of Government Hospital Workers in the North held a meeting at the Government Hospital in Tripoli.
In accordance with the union’s bylaws.
Under the supervision of the polling station committee, composed of members Zeina Daizli and Mahmoud Ghandour, and representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Piotr Falu and Ms. Ibtisam al-Qadi.
The following were elected by acclamation: Muhammad Shawqi Al-Ahdab, Ahmad Ali Talib, Lilian Saad al-Din, and Muhammad Abdul-Hamid Ghazoul.
Abdullah Abdul-Hamid Bakraki, Osama Mustafa Daher, Ahmed Abdul-Fattah Musa, and Mazen Muhammad Salem Hafar.
Mohammed Omar Al-Abdullah, Maher Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Rabih Mohammed Mohammed, and Omar Mohammed Badhan.
The election session was attended by Shadi Al-Sayed, President of the Federation of Workers’ and Employees’ Unions in the North, who congratulated the union and all employees at government hospitals.
He recalled “the tireless efforts made over the past years—during, before, and after the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He called on the state “to care for these employees—nurses, doctors, workers, and those in various other job titles.”
He highlighted “the renewed emphasis on the role of government hospitals,” citing “the support provided by both Saudi Arabia and France to the government hospital in Tripoli.”
He also noted the services this hospital provides to the people of the North.
