On the occasion, Habib delivered a speech in which he expressed “great gratitude to the brotherly State of Kuwait, the leadership, the people and institutions, for what it has provided and is providing to Lebanon.”
“Kuwait has always been a reliable support and a trustworthy partner,” he said.
He stressed Kuwait’s presence in Lebanon’s difficult stations. This presence reflected the depth of its humanitarian commitment and its responsible Arab role.
He continued: “What has established its position in the hearts of the Lebanese as a country of inexhaustible giving and unceasing support.”
Then, on behalf of the Housing Bank, he presented the bank’s golden jubilee to the Kuwaiti ambassador. Additionally, he described this as “a token of loyalty and appreciation to the brotherly State of Kuwait, its leadership, people and institutions.”
Ambassador Al-Sharji then delivered a speech. In his speech, he praised “the kind gesture of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing Bank, Mr. Antoine Habib, for the selection of the State of Kuwait and its representative in Beirut to receive the Golden Jubilee Award of the Bank.”
He presented “two major milestones in the history of the relationship between Lebanon and Kuwait.” These milestones have existed since the beginning of the modern renaissance in Kuwait in the 1950s until today.
He thanked “the State of Kuwait for its continuous trust in Lebanon and its institutions.”
This reflects its belief in the importance of investing in people and promoting social stability.
He also thanked the Kuwaiti ambassador for his tireless efforts in consolidating Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations.
