Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh and Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Marcelli toured the “Echoes of Existence” exhibition in Beirut.
The exhibition is being held at the Nihad Al-Said Cultural Pavilion at the National Museum, as an initiative of the Italian Embassy and under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition celebrates the pine tree as a symbol shared by Lebanon and Italy.
It also features works by Italian artist Enzo Cucci and Lebanese-Italian artist Gilbert Al-Halabi, alongside works by prominent Lebanese artists.
During the tour, Marselli emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He noted joint projects involving the National Museum, the Sursock Museum, and Wadi Qadisha, as well as Italian archaeological missions operating in Lebanon.
For his part, Salameh described the exhibition as a symbol of renewed Lebanese-Italian artistic cooperation.
He also expressed his hope that a comprehensive agreement would be reached in the fields of archaeology, the arts, and training.
The “Echoes of Existence” exhibition is organized across several levels, bringing together painting, sculpture, and environmental art. It also highlights the protection of forests and biodiversity.
The exhibition runs through October 21 of this year, Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
