The “Chouf Cedar Reserve Committee” held its first meeting at the House of the Reserve – Chouf Contemporary to distribute tasks to the members.
The Chouf Cedar Reserve Committee was unanimously agreed on the distribution of administrative tasks.
The tasks were distributed as follows: the mayor of the Chouf Mosque, Albert Njeim, as chairman. Faisal Abou Ezzeddine was selected as an environmentalist, and Michel Skaf was assigned as secretary.
In addition to Shukri Al-Haddad as treasurer, and eight members of advisors.
The members are: Ghassan Farhat, Ihab Hammad, Jasser Abu Ali, Walid Al-Ashqar, Fadi Mahmoud, Joseph Malkoun, Khalil Moghabgheb and Joseph Badr.
A number of administrative and organizational issues related to the work of the reserve and its management mechanisms were discussed.
The discussions were characterized by a positive atmosphere that reflected the members’ commitment to enhance coordination and joint work. As a result, this commitment will help ensure effective continuity in the management of the reserve. It will also support the protection of its natural resources.
During the meeting, thanks and appreciation were extended to the previous and successive committees for their valuable efforts and hard work during the past periods.
In addition, it has made essential contributions in supporting the management of the reserve. This support helped maintain business continuity and protect biodiversity naturally for future generations.
The meeting concluded with “affirming the work on the survival of cooperation and coordination, in order for the reserve to continue its progress to remain a heritage and treasure.”
