“Cirque du Liban” Returns to Beirut… Joy Brings the Family Together Under One Tent

Lebanese people continue to keep successive, uninterrupted appointments with life’s bright moments and to cling to the threads of hope.

After ten years away, “Cirque du Liban” (Cirque du Liban) returns to Beirut with its new show “Fusion.” It brings an atmosphere of joy and excitement to an entertainment experience that brings together children and adults. This experience affirms that Lebanon remains a space for life and creativity despite its challenges.

In the Dawra area, opposite the “Forum,” the Italian circus tent welcomes audiences with a variety of artistic and performance shows. These shows feature performers and dancers from around the world. The show runs for about an hour and a half and includes acrobatic acts, aerial performances and motorcycle stunts. There are also musical and dance segments. All of this takes place without the participation of animals.

In a private interview, Thierry Antonios, one of the organizers of “Cirque du Liban,” stated that Lebanon is a country that loves joy and life, and that it is a safe country for hosting international artists and troupes. He also noted that the participation of performance troupes and dancers from around 17 countries reflects confidence in Lebanon. This participation demonstrates Lebanon’s ability to host international artistic and entertainment events.

For his part, the circus’s media officer, Zareh Barikian, explained in a private interview that the shows will run for two months. This will give families the opportunity to enjoy this distinctive experience.

Regarding programs for schools, Barikian stressed the circus management’s commitment to welcoming pupils and school groups. This is done through offering discounted prices to schools and institutions. This offer aims to give as many children as possible the chance to take part in this entertaining atmosphere.

The return of “Cirque du Liban” is not limited to offering world-class performances. It also carries a positive message that goes beyond entertainment. The message is that Beirut remains a vibrant city. It still has the ability to bring together the cultures of the world under one tent.

Perhaps the most beautiful thing that caught our attention during the show was the spontaneous interaction between parents and their children, extending to grandparents and their grandchildren, in a warm family scene that brought together different generations under one tent. The circus became more than just an entertainment show. It became a special opportunity for the family to gather around a single activity, sharing laughter, amazement and moments of joy. It was as if everyone had become children again. Even if only for an hour and a half, this was an experience that proves joy knows no age. Moreover, it also shows that the most beautiful moments are those that bring the family together and create unforgettable memories.

The return of “Cirque du Liban” is not merely an entertainment event, but a message of love to every child and family, and an affirmation that Beirut, the capital of art and beauty, will remain capable of creating smiles and restoring its splendor no matter how great the challenges.
