Christopher Ghosoub, a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture – Branch II, Master’s in Interior Design, has won the Impact Award.
The award was presented as part of the Prix du Design de l’Institut du Monde Arabe 2026 in Paris.
Christopher received the award in recognition of his initiative “Foukhar,” which he founded in his hometown of Beit Chabab with the aim of preserving traditional pottery-making.
The prize includes an artistic residency opportunity at the Manufactures nationales de Sèvres in France.
This will allow Christopher to further develop his artistic and research practice in ceramics and design.
The award “honors creative projects that have a positive impact on society,” and “contributes to preserving and reviving cultural heritage and traditional crafts through contemporary design,” the Lebanese University said in a statement.
