The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik organized an exceptional cultural evening titled “Art in Motion: A Dialogue Between Image, Music, and Memory.”
Among the most prominent guests was Sandra de Wall, the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon. During the event, she emphasized that “culture unites people in difficult times.” Moreover, she reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to supporting cultural and artistic initiatives.
The event was organized by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik Museum in collaboration with the School of Architecture and Design and the School of Music.
In addition, the organizers explained that the goal of this experience was to highlight the beauty within the paintings. At the same time, the project aimed to create a dialogue between
the artworks and the audience through technology, music, and visual arts.
At the heart of the evening was the exhibition “Art in Motion An Immersive Experience: Pioneers of Abstraction.”
The exhibition was based on the idea that paintings conceal deeper dimensions within their details. However, these dimensions are not always revealed through a fleeting glance or traditional museum lighting.
Furthermore, the project embodied an interdisciplinary academic collaboration within the university.
Students in the Digital Media program at the School of Architecture and Design brought the artworks to life using the paintings’ original visual material.
As a result, the “Art in Motion” exhibition offered visitors a new perspective on engaging with the works of the pioneers of abstract art. Overall, the experience successfully connected image, music, technology, and memory in an innovative cultural setting.
