Syrian artist Al-Shami has released his latest single, “Baby,”
marking the latest installment in his album project “Hewiya,” which tells a continuous dramatic story
that unfolds through his music videos, combining music and short films in a unique artistic experience.
The song “Baby” reveals the events leading up to “Ana Ba’dak”
Al-Shami released “Baby” on his official YouTube channel, along with a music video
excerpts of which he shared on his Instagram account.
The track is not merely a new song; it takes the story back to the events preceding the “Ana Ba’dak” music video,
revealing the beginning of the story and the reasons that led to the breakup and the mystery with which the previous work ended.
This time, Al-Shami appears as a confident and dominant lover, in a clear dramatic shift from the
he portrayed in “Ana Ba’dak,” reinforcing the narrative cohesion among the songs on the “Hewiya” album.
Visual Symbols Linking the Songs of the “Hewiya” Album
The music video retains visual elements shared with the previous work, most notably the broken necklace
that appeared at the end of “Ana Ba’dak,” reappearing at the beginning of “B.B.” as a symbol of broken promises and complex relationships, signaling the continuity of events between the two songs.
Lebanese influencer Jennifer Azar also reprises her starring role in the music video alongside Al-Shami,
while director Pierre Khudra helms the project, maintaining the visual identity that brought the duo remarkable success in their previous collaboration.

Al-Shami wrote the lyrics and composed the melody for “BB” himself, while Suleiman Damian handled the musical production,
as well as handling the mixing and mastering.
