AUC Signs Strategic Partnership to Support Businesses

The American University of Beirut (AUB) announced in a statement that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on family businesses in Lebanon. This agreement is through the Suleiman Olayan School of Business and the Association of Family Businesses in the Levant.

The MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation that promotes the development of family businesses.

Promote knowledge exchange and engagement between academia and family-owned businesses.

The signing was attended by academic figures, representatives of institutions and individuals from the family business community.

The MoU reflected a shared commitment to support the growth, sustainability and impact of family businesses. It aims to foster closer collaboration between academia and business owners.

Through this partnership, the university and the Mashreq Family Business Association sought to facilitate access to knowledge resources. In addition, they aim to connect members to professional networks.

Educational opportunities that contribute to the development of family businesses and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The agreement established a flexible framework for future cooperation. It also lays the foundations for various initiatives that will be launched through complementary agreements.

Collaborations included enabling members of the Mashreq Family Business Association to benefit from executive education programs at the Sulaiman Olyan School of Business.
