A Qatari-Italian partnership: The Qatar Diamond Exchange has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian Diamond Exchange.
The aim is to establish a strategic partnership that enhances commercial cooperation and supports the growth of the diamond and gemstone sector in both countries.
The memorandum was signed during the World Jewelers’ Federation Centennial Conference,
which was recently held in the Italian city of Vicenza, with the participation of leading experts and representatives from organizations involved in the jewelry industry.
According to a statement from the Qatar Diamond Exchange, the MoU establishes a clear framework for strengthening ties between members of the two exchanges,
It also aims to encourage the establishment of new business relationships, as well as to enhance communication, exchange expertise, and expand areas of mutual cooperation.
The two parties also intend to invite members and management to participate in specialized events, tenders, auctions, and inspection processes.
In addition, the memorandum includes the organization of a program of reciprocal visits, opening up new horizons for investors and traders.
Both parties are committed to strengthening consumer confidence in natural diamonds and gemstones
This will be achieved by supporting international and local initiatives and adhering to recognized standards, including the World Diamond Council’s Assurance System and the Responsible Jewelers Council’s initiatives.
