“Al-Bayt al-Zghartaoui” held a Divine Liturgy for the expatriates at the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul in Ehden.
Father Yohanna Makhlouf presided over the service, which brought together the people of Zgharta in prayer and love for Lebanon.
It underscored the deep bond between the homeland and its people scattered throughout the diaspora.
A number of Zgharta natives and community leaders participated in the event.
It was a spiritual and patriotic occasion during which those present expressed their love for Lebanon and their appreciation for the role of the diaspora in supporting their homeland and their families.
It reaffirmed that living abroad does not mean being distant from the homeland, but rather is an extension of it and a bearer of its message wherever its people may be.
On this occasion, the president of the “Risha Atar Forum” expressed her gratitude to the Zgharta House for this initiative.
She also commended founder Antonio Yamin and the current president of the Zgharta House, Tannous Douaihy, for their efforts and constant dedication to uniting Lebanese people around their love for their homeland.
She emphasized that “this prayer served as a unifying occasion for Lebanon and its people, both at home and abroad,” expressing her hope that “the bridges of communication and love will remain intact among the people of this one nation, wherever they may be.”
