The Ab Festival in Bazbina kicked off at the Bazbina Ecotourism Center and the Isa Arts Theater.
The event was attended by a notable contingent of political, religious, municipal, and community leaders.
The festival, an initiative of the Bazbina Municipality and the town’s youth, will run for four days.
The opening ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Beirut port explosion.
A tribute was also paid to the Lebanese Army in recognition of its sacrifices and national role.
For its part, the organizing committee emphasized the festival’s importance in fostering unity and revitalizing tourism and the economy.
Mayor Tarek Khabazi also emphasized that the event was the result of the efforts of the youth of Bazbina and their spirit of volunteerism.
The evening included the opening of the festival market and the screening of a documentary film about last year’s events.
The Hadnani Dabke troupe also presented a traditional performance before a large audience.
The Bazbina Festival continues with a diverse program of artistic, cultural, and entertainment activities, further cementing the town’s status as a premier summer destination in Joumah and Akkar.
