Prime Minister Nawaf Salam chaired the weekly meeting on return and recovery in the south and the affected areas.
Attended by Minister of Social Affairs Hanine Sayed, and Council for Development and Reconstruction head Mohammad Ali Kabbani.
Also present were South Council head Hashem Haidar, Secretary General of the Higher Relief Commission Brig. Gen. Bassam Nablusi, and director of the central operations room at the Grand Serail Zahi Shahin.
The meeting reviewed the follow-up on contracts for projects being carried out by the South Council and the Council for Development and Reconstruction in the south and the affected areas.
It also addressed the needs of the steadfast towns in the south, including fuel and cash assistance for families.
In addition, the meeting discussed prefabricated housing, particularly in pilot areas, and the need to provide the necessary infrastructure alongside them, including electricity and water.
The meeting also covered the removal of rubble along roadsides in the city of Nabatieh, and the follow-up on the Civil Defense center project in Nabatieh.
