The 20th General Conference of the Organization of Arab Cities and the 64th Executive Council meeting came to a close.
The event was held in the state of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of representatives from a number of Arab cities and municipalities.
The conference program included discussions on a number of vital issues related to urban development and the future of Arab cities,
In particular, the transition to smart cities, cybersecurity, and the future of sustainable urban mobility.
In addition, there was a panel discussion for city leaders titled “Toward an Arab Agenda for Urban Development.”
It aimed to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation among Arab municipalities and cities.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Municipality of Saida—represented by Vice President Dr. Ahmad Akra and Mr. Amer Muti—was honored.
A commemorative plaque was presented to the municipality in recognition of its participation and presence at the conference.
