The Prime Minister, Judge Nawaf Salam, was briefed by the President of the Beirut Mai Al-Khalil Marathon Association. This meeting was held in the presence of the Association’s legal representative, Lawyer Jad Lotfi.
The Beirut Marathon was voted the fastest growing race in the Middle East.
The President of the Association, Mai Al-Khalil, spoke during the meeting between Nawaf Salam and the Beirut Marathon Association.
She pointed out that the association has achieved many local and foreign achievements over the past twenty-three years.
She pointed out that through her role in the field of spreading the culture of running in various Lebanese regions and activities in Beirut, she was able.
Salam continued: “The capital Beirut is shown during the races in a civilized image, which reflects the culture of life and the will for peace.”
He also considered that the association represents a symbol to be followed. Additionally, it serves as an example along with other NGOs active for the good of Lebanese society.
President Salam was presented with the calendar of the Association’s activities for the year 126 in Beirut and the regions. This calendar included the City Race.
Finally, she wished President Salam to accept the invitation of honor to attend the Beirut Marathon, which will be held on Sunday.
