McDonald’s Monopoly Returns with a $1 Million Prize

McDonald’s is preparing to bring back the famous Monopoly game to its restaurants starting October 6, 2026,

in a classic-style comeback that evokes the game’s debut nearly four decades ago, with prizes totaling up to $1 million in cash.

The campaign runs through November 1, 2026, during which rewards program members

can collect detachable game pieces from a selection of participating meals and products, then scan them via the McDonald’s app to find out what prizes they’ve won.

Rewards include free meals and loyalty program points, as well as bigger prizes

such as a 2027 Jeep Cherokee, a cruise, and a visit to the Kennedy Space Center.

The campaign also features an additional digital game offering chances to win a cash prize of $1 million,

as well as $50,000 in prizes that can be used to cover housing or college tuition.

McDonald’s confirmed that this year’s version refocuses on the traditional Monopoly tile-removal experience, while integrating it with simpler digital gameplay via the app.

The Monopoly game first appeared at McDonald’s in 1987, before becoming one of the chain’s most famous promotional campaigns.
