Lebanese Innovation Wins Global Silver

Dr. Lilian Abi Chakra Khuwais has won the silver medal at the iENA International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions and New Products for her innovation, the “Lask Method.”

The researcher is affiliated with the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Lebanese University, Fourth Branch.

She participated in the exhibition through the National Authority for Science and Research, presenting a project that connects architectural knowledge with digital technologies.

The exhibition was organized by AFAG in the German city of Nuremberg, from October 31 to November 2, 2026.

The innovation offers a scientific, electronic method for three-dimensional and perspective drawing.

The Lask Method can also be applied to digital data, as part of a new stage in developing the original project.

Abi Chakra had previously registered her project as a patent with the Ministry of Economy and Trade, under the title “Lask Method: A Legacy of Architectural Science and Knowledge.”

With this development, the researcher has moved her project from traditional drawing to digital drawing.

Her award highlights the presence of Lebanese talent at international exhibitions, gives university innovation a platform for recognition, and underscores the role of research in developing drawing and teaching tools.
