The “Professional Association of Fine Arts for Culture and the Arts” in Rashaya launched two books by author and researcher Raed Sami Shihab: *The Rebellion of Meaning Against the Letter* and *The Ascent of Lofty Aspirations*.
The event took place at the association’s headquarters in Rashaya al-Wad
, as part of its mission to support Lebanese intellectual production.
and to highlight works that represent a significant contribution to the Arabic literary canon.
The association’s president, artist Shawqi Dallal, emphasized that “the two books represent a comprehensive intellectual and spiritual project, offering a profound vision of humanity, consciousness, and meaning.”
He added: “The book *The Rebellion of Meaning Against the Letter* calls for moving beyond a literal reading of texts toward discovering the meaning hidden within them.”
Dalal emphasized that “these two publications represent an added value to the Arabic literary canon
given the profound intellectual insights and sophisticated philosophical and literary treatment they contain.”
He noted that they “reflect the maturity of author Raed Sami Shehaib’s
experience and underscore his growing presence on the Lebanese intellectual and cultural scene.”
For his part, author Raed Sami Shihab expressed his thanks and appreciation to the “Rashaya Professional Association,” describing it as one of the leading organizations in the cultural sector.
At the conclusion of the event, the author invited readers and those interested in cultural affairs
to “participate in the discussion session on his two books
*The Rebellion of Meaning Against the Letter* and *The Ascent of Lofty Aspirations*.”
