Hot Weather in Lebanon: What About Humidity?

The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expects relatively hot summer weather to prevail over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin.

Temperatures are expected to be above seasonal averages in the coming days.

Tuesday: Clear to partly cloudy skies across Lebanon, with localized fog in the highlands and no significant change in temperatures.

Humidity will be high along the coast, intensifying the sensation of heat.

Wednesday: Generally partly cloudy with local fog in the highlands and a slight drop in temperatures.

Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages. Humidity will remain high along the coast, making it feel even hotter.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with local fog in the highlands and a slight further drop in temperatures.

Friday: Partly cloudy with no significant change in temperatures.

Dense fog will form over the highlands starting in the afternoon.

Surface winds: Southwesterly, with speeds ranging from 15 to 30 km/h.

Visibility: Average along the coast. Visibility will occasionally be poor in the highlands due to fog.
Relative humidity on the coast: between 60% and 80%.
Sea conditions: low wave height.
Water surface temperature: 29°C.
Atmospheric pressure: 1,012 hectopascals, equivalent to 759 mm Hg.
