L’atelier des couleurs, chaired by artist Zainab Al-Fouani, in collaboration with the Municipality of Ali Al-Nahri, honored artist Shawqi Dallal, president of the Professional Association of Fine Arts for Culture and the Arts – Rashaya, in recognition of his rich artistic and cultural career.
The ceremony honoring Shawki Dallal was held in the public park of the town of Ali al-Nahri.
In attendance were Mayor Melhem Al-Makhhal and members of the municipal council, along with figures from the artistic, cultural, educational, and media sectors.
The initiative celebrated Dallal’s five-decade career in the arts.
It also recognized his more than thirty-five years of cultural work, supporting talent, and nurturing creators across various regions of Lebanon.
Al-Fouani emphasized that honoring Shawqi Dalal is a tribute to a career that has left a clear mark on the Lebanese cultural scene.
She noted his unwavering belief that art is a mission and culture is a way of life.
She also praised his role in building bridges of communication between artists and writers and opening doors for young talent.
For his part, Dallal thanked artist Zainab al-Fouani, the association, and the Municipality of Ali al-Nahri.
He considered the initiative a celebration of art and culture rather than a personal honor.
He emphasized that true culture sows love and gives generations ample space for dreams and creativity.
He stressed that the value of art lies in the impact it has on people and society.
