Batroun Youth Club Celebrates Second Consecutive Volleyball Championship
The Batroun Youth Club celebrated winning the Lebanese First Division Volleyball Championship for the second consecutive year.
The celebration took place on Batroun’s main street amid a festive atmosphere and a large official and public turnout.
Among those attending were Batroun Mayor Marcelino Al-Hark and the Secretary General of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation. Club volleyball director Captain Assaf Mehna also joined the celebration.
In addition, Club President Youssef Basil attended alongside board members, players, technical staff, and supporters.
During the event, Al-Hark praised the Batroun Youth Club players for bringing pride to their city. He also highlighted the strong performance of the team and its coach, William Al-Asmar.
Moreover, he confirmed that the municipality will continue supporting the club in its upcoming competitions.
According to Al-Hark, Batroun continues to distinguish itself through sports, tourism, and cultural activities.
Meanwhile, Mehna said that the club has developed into a model that goes beyond the limits of a sports team.
Therefore, he called for continued cooperation and unity to help the club retain the Lebanese Championship title.
Following the speeches, a celebratory parade moved toward Batroun’s Old Market. Players, technical staff, administrators, and supporters took part in the procession.
Finally, the parade reached Capitano restaurant, where the celebration concluded with the cutting of a championship cake.
The event ended in a joyful atmosphere as Batroun residents and club supporters celebrated another major sporting achievement.
