The Beirut Marathon Association honored the top male and female finishers in each age group at the Barmana Running Festival.
The event was organized in partnership with the Municipality of Barmana, with the participation of approximately 2,000 runners from various regions of Lebanon.
Participants competed in the 4-kilometer and 2-kilometer races, as well as the 4-kilometer fun run.
The awards ceremony was held at the Beirut Digital District, attended by the honorees, their families, and association officials.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a welcome speech by the Association’s Secretary and Media Advisor, Hassan Muhyiddin, during which he conveyed the congratulations of the Association’s President, May Al-Khalil, to the male and female winners.
Muhyiddin emphasized the Beirut Marathon Association’s commitment to involving all age groups—especially children—in its sporting activities.
He explained that this participation helps develop physical and mental abilities, as well as discover and refine talents to nurture future champions in the sport of running.
Afterward, Outreach Director Anna Maria Al-Khoury announced the names of the winners before presenting them with commemorative plaques.
Several organizations took the top spots, most notably the “542” training program, Inter Lebanon, the Phoenicia Club, the Lebanese Army, the Elite Club, State Security, and Homentmen.
In closing, Al-Khoury congratulated the participants and invited them to the Spinis Beirut Marathon.
