A delegation from the American University of Culture and Education met with Minister of Labor Dr. Mohammad Haidar.
They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and align university education with the needs of the Lebanese labor market.
The delegation included Chair of the Board of Trustees Rima Hisham Qalaawi, University President Professor Dr. Bassam Asad Al-Hashim,
and Media Advisor Adel Hamoush.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the university’s vision for developing a system that integrates academic education, practical training, and career guidance.
This vision aims to improve the readiness of students and graduates to enter the labor market.
The two sides also discussed launching a framework for cooperation that includes the development of training and vocational programs.
It also involves providing field training opportunities and developing digital and future-oriented skills.
The cooperation also includes supporting entrepreneurship and strengthening communication between graduates and organizations seeking new talent.
In this context, the university delegation proposed launching a project titled “From University to the Job Market.”
to help young people transition from academic life to a professional career through training, qualification, and networking with employers.
The university administration affirmed its readiness to leverage its academic and training expertise to develop practical programs that are implementable and scalable.
For his part, Minister Haider expressed his interest in strengthening cooperation with higher education institutions
This would support young people and increase their opportunities to secure decent and sustainable employment.
