Ministry of Culture Calls for the Registration of Archaeological Artifacts

The Ministry of Culture, in a statement, reminded citizens of the issuance of Decree No. 198 of 2025.

This decree extends the provisions of Decree No. 3,065 of 2016,

regarding the organization of the general inventory of movable antiquities belonging to private individuals.

In this regard, the Ministry of Culture—General Directorate of Antiquities—calls on citizens to take the initiative to register the antiquities in their possession.

Given the importance of preserving the public interest and protecting cultural property.

This must be done within a non-renewable three-year period beginning on the date the decree was published in the Official Gazette.

The Ministry of Culture also draws citizens’ attention to the fact that failure to declare archaeological artifacts in their possession,

within the legal deadline specified in the decree,
