The Consultative Meeting of Independent Beirut Families announced the “Independent Beirut Families” slate.
to run in the elections for the administrative board of the Union of Beirut Family Associations, scheduled for next Friday.
The slate includes 16 candidates with expertise and experience in various fields.
The announcement was made during a meeting attended by the presidents, members, and delegates of the family associations affiliated with the Union, as well as Beirut-based figures and invited guests.
In the slate’s address, candidate Ziad Dandan emphasized that the team possesses an independent vision, free from partisan alignments.
Ziad Dandan explained that the candidates view serving the community as a responsibility, while the interests of Beirut and the dignity of its people constitute a fundamental priority.
Furthermore, the slate will work to strengthen the capital’s national role and address issues related to health, education, healthcare, and municipal affairs.
For his part, Engineer Walid Kabi presented the electoral platform under the slogan “One Heart for a Promising Tomorrow.”
He noted that the slate seeks to unite families within an independent and effective framework, while preserving Beirut’s heritage and identity.
The platform also includes empowering youth and women, supporting education and employment opportunities, and launching economic and social initiatives.
It also aims to develop the Union into a modern civil society organization with sustainable financial resources and independent decision-making.
The slate includes: Ahmad Ramadan, Basem al-Nu’mani, Jamil al-Hout, Khaled al-Qarq, Khalil al-Jamal, Ziad Kridiyeh, and Ziad Dandan.
In addition to Abdul Razzaq Fayed, Maria Adada, Muhammad al-Kurdi, Marwan al-Safah, Naji al-Khayyat, Nader al-Sha’ar, Hani Nasouli, Haitham Yassin, and Walid Kibi.
