Emirati Investors in Lebanon

UAE Investment in Lebanon: A Delegation Opens the Door

Lebanon is preparing to welcome a high-level economic delegation from the United Arab Emirates.

This visit could usher in a new era of cooperation and investment between the two countries.

The delegation is led by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and includes 67 prominent business leaders and economic figures.

The Chairman of the Economic Authorities, former Minister Mohammad Shukair, explained that 55 UAE companies will participate in the meetings.

Alongside representatives from more than 150 Lebanese companies.

Face-to-face meetings are expected to be held to discuss partnerships and available investment opportunities.

The Lebanese side will present projects in vital sectors, most notably electricity, water, airports, ports, and technology.

In addition, a number of ministers and official institutions will participate, including the Council for Development and Reconstruction and the General Organization for the Encouragement of Investment in Lebanon (IDAL).

The visit comes amid improving Lebanese-Gulf relations and the restoration of state institutions’ roles.

However, its success does not depend solely on an atmosphere of optimism but is linked to Lebanon’s ability to expedite procedures and provide a stable and clear legal and administrative environment.

The Emirati delegation carries an important message of confidence, but it is not giving Lebanon a blank check.

Therefore, the real test begins after the visit ends, when the challenge will be to transform the meetings and promises into productive projects, sustainable investments, and real job opportunities.
