The town of Bakhaoun in Danniyeh launched the third edition of the “Bakhaoun al-Diya’a Hun” festival.
The event took place during a ceremony held at the Old Market near the headquarters of the Union of Danniyeh Municipalities, attended by a large number of officials and residents.
MPs Jihad al-Samad and Abdulaziz al-Samad participated in the opening, along with the District Governor of Minieh-Danniyeh, Jean al-Khouli.
Also present were Mustafa Sa’ada, President of the Union of Denniyeh Municipalities; Abdul Razzaq al-Ghoul, Mayor of Bakha’oun; as well as other mayors, village chiefs, local dignitaries, and residents of the region.
After the national anthem, Sa’ada declared the festival open.
He emphasized that the festival serves as a platform to showcase Bakhaoun’s culture and the heritage of Danniyeh.
He also noted that the event fosters interaction between residents and visitors and presents a civilized and honorable image of the region.
For his part, Al-Ghoul emphasized the ability of the people of Bakha’oun to come together, find joy, and be creative despite difficult circumstances.
He noted that the success of the previous two editions had encouraged other towns in Danniyeh to organize similar festivals.
Afterward, attendees toured the Old Market, where booths showcasing handicrafts, traditional arts, artwork, local products, and provisions were set up.
The organizers also designated areas for food, sweets, and games.
The festival’s activities will continue until midnight on Sunday, amid organizational and health measures involving municipal authorities, ambulance crews, and scouts.
