Artist Fadi Al-Raidi presented his new play on a stage on the upper floor of the historic Al-Kubra building in Ehden.
More than 400 people attended the performance and gave it an enthusiastic response. The strong turnout encouraged Al-Raidi to present a second show that same night.
Fadi Al-Raidi is known for his beloved characters, including “Bibo,” “Fadia Al-Sharqa,” and “Youssef Qliqli.”
Through his performance, he shared messages of hope and optimism. He emphasized that Lebanon remains one of the most beautiful homelands despite its wars and crises. Its traditions, people, and unique way of life continue to shape its identity.
Al-Raidi also addressed several social and everyday issues through his signature satirical and critical style.
He explored healthcare and hospitalization, as well as the differences between life in Lebanon and Canada. He also discussed schools, rising tuition fees, and the experience of living abroad.
The show touched on savings, expectations, Michel Hayek, and “Rakni al-Mawqif.”
With clever writing and an engaging performance, Al-Raidi entertained the audience while addressing familiar concerns. As usual, he avoided direct political references and focused instead on social realities and everyday life.
