Beirut International Airport is preparing for a new phase of development and modernization.
Work is underway to equip Rafik Hariri International Airport with 27 new smart gates.
This move aims to facilitate passenger flow and speed up procedures within the airport.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the Beirut International Airport Authority, Engineer Mohammad Shatila, announced that the installation of the smart gates will be completed within three to four months.
He noted that this step will alleviate pressure on security forces and improve the flow of arrivals and departures.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize Beirut Airport.
It aims to enhance the services provided to passengers by leveraging modern technologies and improving operational procedures.
Shatila emphasized that the coming months will see a series of improvements.
He said that “from now until a year from now, the airport will undergo a radical transformation.”
