Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh and U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa, accompanied by his wife, toured the National Museum.
The tour of the National Museum took place in the presence of the Director General of Antiquities, Engineer Sarkis Khoury.
This event was held on the occasion of Museum Night, amid a crowd of visitors from various regions.
The tour covered the museum’s exhibits and various sections, including the Phoenician Hall and the Mummy Hall.
It also included the Mosaic, Coin, and Ancient Statue Halls.
Ambassador Issa viewed the most notable artifacts that reflect the richness and diversity of the civilizations that have passed through Lebanon.
During the visit, the Minister of Culture highlighted “the efforts being made to preserve the museum’s collections and restore the museum so that it remains a national cultural landmark.”
